AbstractWater erosion is the main way of soil erosion in the eastern China where the severe soil erosion happed in the hill slope covered by brown-yellow or red earth during the summer monsoon season. In this study the authors selected a man made bare area in the hill slope of Kongshan Hill, South-west Jiangsu Province as the study site. Based on five years rill system and slope soil erosion observation in the study area, the rill system evolution and the soil erosion was calculated and discussed.
