Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present an efficient method for parallelizing computations of primary topographic parameters like aspect, slope, and curvature for very large data sets using clusters with GPU-accelerated nodes. We outline the implementation and discuss the results of experiments, which justify the use of such computer architecture.
